Privacy Policy

1. Data We Collect

When you use Avocado (the “Service”), we collect the information you provide when you sign in with your Google account: your name, email address, and profile picture. We also store the content you create in the Service and basic usage data needed to operate it (for example, log data about requests and errors).

All personal data is transmitted securely over HTTPS using modern cryptography. We do not collect data from your device beyond what is described here.

2. How We Use Data

We use the data we collect to provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service; to authenticate you; to communicate with you about the Service; and to protect the security and integrity of the Service.

We do not sell your personal or sensitive data, and we do not use your data for advertising.

3. Google User Data

The Service uses Google Sign-In to authenticate you. The only Google user data the Service receives is your basic profile information (name, email address, and profile picture), used solely to create and secure your account.

Avocado's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is never sold, never used for advertising, and never shared with third parties except as needed to provide the Service.

4. Retention and Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in-app (Settings → Account → Delete account), which removes your profile and the content associated with your account.

You may also request deletion on the web, without signing in, via /account/delete or by emailing privacy@avocado.tech from the address associated with your account. We process web deletion requests within 30 days.

5. Third Parties

We share data only with the service providers needed to operate the Service: Google (authentication via Google Sign-In) and our hosting infrastructure provider. These parties process data only on our instructions and only to provide the Service.

We may also disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users. We do not share data with advertisers or data brokers.
